So if you’re anything like me, you enjoy going to the gym and working out til you puke! Ok maybe not puke, but I make sure I take of business.

Big arms have been commanding attention for centuries. Use only the best bicep exercises to make sure your biceps grow beyond belief!  A pair of bulging muscular arms says alot without saying a word. They scream for attention.  People cant help but look and/or comment. And, the girls love it!

I like working on my arms like alot of people do. I have found the best bicep exercises and i dont waste my time doing anything else for my bi’s.

Before I go on to listing these great secret exercises for your biceps, allow me to explain a couple of simple facts that I think some people forget about.

First of all, building bigger arms is not as easy as you may think. It would seem to that through my experience that changing up your routine works wonders. If you have been doing an exercise for more than about 3 or 4 months, and you’re wondering why you haven’t seen any results then change it up and do something else. You might want to change your exercises more frequent like every 3 or 4 weeks to keep your muscles confused and not adapting to the same movement.

Second, you should include the big compound exercises that allow you to move the heaviest weight, and perform the exercises that nobody likes. The bench press is one of those great exercises, but everyone loves that. Im talking about Deadlifts, and Squats!

Stop running from those important muscle building exercises! Why?  Because in addition to the fact that they are the best overall muscle building exercises,  they are also known to spike the greatest amounts of Growth Hormone and Testosterone in your body which elicits growth to the rest of your muscles, which includes (you guessed it) your biceps! So start deadlifting and squatting if you haven’t done so already and stop making excuses not to.

 

 

Okay here we go! My selections for the best bicep exercises are:

 

Close Grip Chin Ups

This is the best of the best bicep exercises in my opinion. Why? Because this is a great compound movement which allows you to move the greatest amount of weight. How much do you weigh? If you re 200 lbs, try loading up a bar with your body weight and attempt to bang out 8 to 10 reps! Try get even 1 rep!! This exercises allows you to hit your biceps hard, and it also hits your back (your wings, aka lats), shoulders, and your forearms. This is also another one of those exercises people tend to shy away from.

Barbell Curls

This is a great isolation movement for developing the biceps. Pile on the weight and do 3-4 sets of about 8 reps and you got yourself a great workout. As with any exercise you should always try to maintain good form. When you curl the bar up, try not to move your elbows forward too much and being the bar all the way up to your face. You bring other muscles into the exercise and taking the tension away from the biceps. If you need to cheat a little bit on your last couple of heavy reps on your last sets then maybe that’s ok, but for the most part just concentrate on curling weight up and down bending at the elbows and contracting those bi’s.

Incline Dumbell Curls

This is a great exercise because it gives you a chance to be in a position where you get a better stretch on your muscle. Sit in an adjustable bench and set it at a decent angled incline. Allow the dumbbells to hang at your sides. Curl the weight up simultaneously (you can curl it one at a time but to me it seems more difficult if done at the same time) and squeeze your bi’s for second at the top. Lower to the starting position but don’t go all the way down to keep the tension on the muscle being worked.

Those are in my opinion are the best bicep exercises known to man! I love how my arms feel after hitting the chin up bar for some hard reps. The pump felt after grinding out some barbell curls feels great. When i first tried incline dumbbell curls, I immediately felt the difference between a set of those as oppose to doing regular dumbbell curls. Add these to your routine if you haven’t yet and tell me how you like it.
